Stylin: Revel Brunch

Part of the fun of enjoying a meal is dressing for it.  The right outfit sets the mood.  I think the food just tastes better when I’m dressed appropriately for the occation.  My ensemble for a night out with the girls is very different from the one I would wear to a Sunday boozy brunch.  Here, I’ll show you how I style myself for all sorts of different meals.

Party brunch in NYC is kind of a big deal.  If you’re going to do the whole crazy Meatpacking thing, you need to dress the part.  The thing I struggle with is that it’s still daytime.  It’s tough to wear club clothes at 1 PM.  In the summer, it’s not such a problem.  Just throw on a dress some wedges and you’re good to go.  In the winter, however, a dress or skirt means tights, and I just can’t bring myself to wear tights in the afternoon on a weekend.  I just can’t do it.

My solution: coated jeans.  These are basically pants that are cut like denim but in a snazzier fabric.  I paired some gray coated babies from Pookie and Sebastian (on sale for $40!) with some gray and black booties from Payless.  On top I wore a loose, tan/goldish top from Theory.  For accessories I wore a House of Harlow pendant and a tan and black Kate Spade satchel.
