“Sweet & Sour” is my version of that dinner table game where every guest says what the best and worst parts of the day were. As we head into the weekend, I think it’s important to get the bad stuff off your chest and remember the positives as a silver lining and energizing factor. When the weekend hits, I like to release the “sour” and embrace the “sweet.”
Sweet: While I don’t normally love Sunday weddings (at least they’re better than Friday weddings), the one we’re attending this weekend falls on a holiday weekend so we have Monday off work. That can still be annoying when it’s Memorial Day or Labor Day, but since this is the dead of winter, it’s not like the wedding is keeping anyone from fun in the sun plans like a holiday weekend wedding typically would. Even better, I have no plans for this evening so I can relax and leisurely pack for the weekend. I am really liking how this turned out!
Sour: It’s crunch time for a major event I’m planning at work. I have a minimum of 3 meetings per day just for that client. Yesterday I had nine back to back meetings. So many meetings makes it tough to get any actual work done.
