Today’s post is going up later than usual because I was a bit hungover this morning. I don’t like feeling yucky, but I do like that the reason is because I had a blast celebrating the 4th of July yesterday.
We spent last Saturday at a wedding where I experienced heat like never before. At the end of the ceremony I looked down and realized I’d completely sweated through my dress. I definitely got a dehydrated, but once the sun went down, we were ready to party and had a great time celebrating with friends in the gorgeous setting that is Buttermilk Farms. This photo also made me realize I need to upgrade my phone to one with portrait mode, stat.
On Monday I met Amanda for drinks at Eataly’s rooftop – my first time since they’ve transformed it into Serra, the Italian countryside. On that day last year, we happened to be in the Italian countryside so I was particularly happy to be in a Tuscan setting.
We had a wonderful time celebrating the 4th. I started the day with a Peloton class before heading to two small apartment parties with friends. It was nice to be able to hang with a couple different groups, and I love any chance to get all festive. The only downside is that my office seems to be the only one open today. And to top it all off, I actually have a lot of work to do. Ughhhh I just want to be back in bed.
