3 on Thursday

This week kinda re-invigorated me. Thanks to a Novella writing salon, I got motivated to get off the couch and start acting like myself a bit more. Having a deadline got my writing juices flowing, and it felt great. Doing things again got me more excited to get out and moving, even if it’s something little like a Target run. Now my focus is prepping for Neudeck Thanksgiving. It’s a big undertaking, but I’m excited to host the whole fam for a pre-Thanksgiving Thanksgiving.

When I stumbled into some writers block, I decided a change of scenery was in order. I haven’t gone to my fave coffee shop in a while so I can save money, but it felt good to spend a few hours in a place where I can get caffeinated and feel comfortable enough to get some writing done. It worked! I cranked out my piece for the Novella writing salon.

I always love attending Novella salons, but this one was particularly amazing because the guest speaker was Phoebe Robinson. I loooove Phoebe. Not only do I enjoy her work, I find her style similar to mine…just way way better. It was inspiring to meet her and learn about her process. Between that and some great notes in my breakout session, I got excited about writing again.

The fall season has definitely arrived. I can tell it won’t be long before it’s too cold to walk around outside so I took advantage of the crisp weather and strolled with a coffee, admiring some graffiti in the neighborhood.
