I’m still just so living my glowing Thanksgiving life. I had such a great time at home. It was probably the most chill Thanksgiving weekend I’ve ever had since most of my friends didn’t go home this year, but it was actually really nice. I relaxed, read a ton, and enjoyed bunches of family time. Now that I’m back in NYC, I have fully embraced the holiday spirit. There’s just something in the air!
It’s hard to believe Savannah didn’t always have a legit art museum. We didn’t get this stunner til I was almost graduated from college, but now Savannahians have access to some amazing artwork. We went to a nicely curated exhibit on French Impressionism where I got to see work by the masters up close. It was nice squeezing some culture in between all the gluttony.
I’m so happy we started doing the annual Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning. I never thought I’d be the type of person who would run a race – much less someone who would do it early morning of vacation – but it’s turned into a fun tradition. My beau still beat me (with a super speedy average pace of 7:59 for the 4 mile run), but I wasn’t far behind him and earned myself a PR.
It was announced this week that UGA has moved up to #4 in the rankings so I’ll just leave this photo of my fam watching last week’s game right here. Can’t wait to watch the SEC Championship this weekend!
