It’s my first FULL week of work! Even when I was freelancing, I was four days/week, so this is the first time in a long time that I’m back in a normal routine. I am loving it.
The NYC Gay Men’s Chorus is a pretty big deal. (Does anyone remember that episode of Will & Grace with Matt Damon?!) Beth’s boss is actually a member of the chorus so we went to their annual Big Gay Sing event on Friday. The performance was great (drag queens!) and the music fun. It was a great way to kick off the weekend and it was nice to have an actual activity that made me forget about my current alcohol detox.
My new office is in such a fun neighborhood. One great spot is Pearl River Mart, a Chinese goods icon. I recently stopped there to grab some hard-to-find snack flavors and chopsticks.
On Sunday, we went to a restaurant we really like but haven’t gone to often. While there, we saw fliers for a Harlem Flea pop-up and decided to go straight from our meal. There were some very cool avant-garde vendors, and I always love supporting local talent.
