While I may not be going quite as stir crazy as others, I admit it was nice having a car this past weekend. Just having the freedom to order supper on Friday night from a restaurant outside our neighborhood was liberating. It was enough to convince us to sign up for Zipcar so we can feel like we can be a bit spontaneous if we want. This weekend is Memorial Day and we have zero plans. I feel like I’ll definitely notice the effect of the pandemic during a long weekend that’s typically meant for socializing and adventuring.
They didn’t last nearly as long as I’d hoped, but I enjoyed putting together these flower arrangements.
In looking back at old anniversary posts, I noticed my beau highlighted beer chicken tacos as a favorite meal I make. It’s been quite a while since I made this simple dish, but I’m now wondering why I waited so long to bring it back – so simple and so delicious!
Over the weekend, I hung out with a few friends while the boys played golf. We were way more than six feet apart at all times, which was a bit strange, but it was so nice to see people – for the first time in exactly two months, I might add! It truly felt like a spring day so it was nice to spend the afternoon sipping on this adorable mini rosé. It kinda felt like things were back to normal. Kinda.
