The Kunjip

On a recent lunch break, I found myself near K-town and decided to stop into The Kunjip for their lunch special. There are actually several options for the special so you won’t feel pigeon-holed. I went with a gobdol bibimbob and soon doon boo (stew). It all came with banchan and hot tea. The tofu in the stew was nice and silky and it was packed with seafood.

Also, shoutout to my lovely waitress who was just so nice and reminded me why family-run establishments are so important. Overall, the food was flavorful and the spice level was on point. The restaurant feels simple but oh so satisfying and perfect for a K-town pop-in.
