Book Review: An Unwanted Guest

On a snowy weekend, a group of guests arrive at a remote bed and breakfast in upstate New York. There’s the wealthy old money financier and his gorgeous fiancé, two friends in desperate need of a getaway, a young couple testing out their newish relationship, an older couple trying to revive a relationship that’s DOA, a reclusive writer, and an attorney with a shady past. Soon after they arrive, the snow starts coming down hard and people start turning up dead. With the power out and the roads closed, the murderer must be one of them…but who? And why?

This felt very Agatha Christie to me. It’s an old school murder mystery that will take you back to the good old days.

3 out of 5 stars. (Downgraded because the motives felt a bit blah.)
